Short Span Steel Bridge Alliance Partners to Host Free Webinar During Infrastructure Week 2017

Presenters will share the benefits of structural design of steel buried bridges on May 18  

WASHINGTON D.C., May 5, 2017 – A free one-hour webinar on “Introduction to Structural Design of Steel Buried Bridges (Non-Seismic)” will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. EDT as part of Infrastructure Week 2017.  The webinar is being held in cooperation with the Short Span Steel Bridge AllianceNational Corrugated Steel Pipe Association (NCSPA), Big R BridgeCONTECH Engineered Solutions LLC, the American Galvanizers Association (AGA), and the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). Presenters include Michael McGough of NCSPA, Joel Hahm of Big R Bridge, and Brian Flint of CONTECH Engineered Solutions LLC. 

The webinar will introduce attendees to the benefits of structural design of steel buried bridges, including reduced costs, accelerated bridge construction (ABC) techniques, improved environmental characteristics and sustainability, and reduced maintenance. The webinar will cover sample designs and demonstrate the impacts of varying design inputs and assumptions.

It is being presented as a special addition to AGA’s Galvanize It! webinar series and is approved for continuing education units (CEUs), providing 1 LU or PDH.  More information and registration details are available here.
