Hubbell Galvanizing
About
In 1925, Orville William Hubbell founded O.W. Hubbell & Sons, Inc to fabricate and install highway guide rail and signs. Steel products needed to be galvanized. So, in 1968 the company built its own hot-dip galvanizing plant to meet production needs.
Our galvanizing kettle is 5 feet wide, 46 feet long and 10 feet deep, large enough to handle just about any piece of metal. Galvanizing is our primary economic engine and thus now this operation is Hubbell Galvanizing, Inc.
The facilities operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Powder coating is also provided under a subsidiary, Fortress Fusion. Our powder coating oven is 40 feet long and can accommodate virtually everything we can galvanize. We also specialize in applying thermal spray (metallizing) to provide a permanent slip resistant coating under the trade name Galvagrit®.
