About

STS Steel is a successful structural steel and plate fabricator founded in 1984 to serve customers who needed solutions to complex fabrication problems on small to medium size projects.  Expertise gained performing DOT work for bridges and hydraulic gates has been applied to challenges in the building market where plate fabrication is utilized for architectural or structural reasons. Our skilled craftsmen enjoy meeting the challenges presented by unique or simple structures that may require AESS features and sophisticated coatings.

Whether it’s a building, bridge, hydraulic gate or other unique structure, like a steel house, STS Steel finds a way to get the job done right and on time.

STS Steel is certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) for Steel Building Structures, Advanced Steel Bridges, and Advanced Hydraulic Steel Structures with Fracture Critical and Sophisticated Paint Endorsements. The Sophisticated Paint Endorsement also meets the requirements of the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) QP3

STS Steel’s management team includes Professional Engineers with licenses in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. STS Steel people are honest, hard working and thrive on finding solutions to fabrication, erection, and construction challenges. With the formation of an employee stock ownership plan in 2009 making it a 100% employee owned business, STS Steel people are invested in the long-term success of the company and is invested in the success of every project. We are large enough to handle complex challenges but small enough to give every customer the personal attention required by their unique project.
