Webinar 3: Next-Gen Steel Bridge Design Approaches

  • Overview: Next-Gen Steel Bridge Design Approaches will highlight practical tools and resources that can help engineers improve the design and corrosion protection of steel bridges. The webinar will feature the official release and demonstration of ePLATE140, SSSBA’s new Excel-based design tool for composite and noncomposite simple-span plate-girder bridges, based on the AASHTO 10th Edition specifications. The session will also feature AGA resources for progressive dipping, a hot-dip galvanizing approach for steel members that are too large or long to fit into a galvanizing kettle in a single dip. AGA will explain the progressive dipping process and highlight tools that can help evaluate and plan progressive dipping applications.
