international bridge conference steel corrosion protection systems

SSSBA to Host Session on Corrosion Protection Systems at International Bridge Conference (July 15)

Topics: Durability, News

Steel bridges play a crucial role in infrastructure, and ensuring their long-term durability is essential to maximizing value. Several chemistry and coating solutions are available for corrosion protection in steel bridge systems. Each system offers distinct advantages in terms of performance and cost-effectiveness, making them suitable for bridge projects in all types of environments.

On July 15, the Short Span Steel Bridge Alliance (SSSBA) will lead a timely and informative session at the 2025 International Bridge Conference (IBC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The session, titled “Building for the Future – Corrosion Protection Systems for Steel Bridges,” will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. as part of Workshop W-05: Steel Design Topics.

Join industry experts for presentations on the applications, benefits and limitations of weathering steel, galvanizing, metallizing and painting systems for both new construction and repair/rehabilitation work.
