Single Coat Inorganic Zinc Protection for Steel Bridges(1)

NSBA Releases Single Coat Inorganic Zinc Report

The following information was provided by the National Steel Bridge Alliance.

New Report Describes Long-Term SIOZ Performance in Bridges

Bridge designers are becoming increasingly interested in using single-coat inorganic zinc (SIOZ), a cost-effective and high-quality coating solution, as the sole durability system for bridges in certain environments.

The National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA) and Modjeski and Masters conducted a synthesis study of SIOZ in 18 bridges across three states, and now you can read the results in the new report, “Single Coat Inorganic Zinc Protection for Steel Bridges.”

In the report, you’ll learn about existing bridges coated with SIOZ and see how they fare in inspection after decades of service.
