The SSSBA presents a topic based video series on short span steel bridges.

In this series, Dr. Gregory Michaelson (Co-Director, SSSBA Bridge Technology Center & Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering at Marshall University) discusses live load distribution for short span steel bridges. Note, this is part one of a two lecture series – video part two.

The goals of this lecture are:

  • To provide an overview of vehicular live loads for bridge design.
  • To discuss structural analysis and live load distribution for bridge design.

  • Structural analysis
